things I hate about new year's eve
Endings/beginnings based on a calendar may be meaningful to others, but aren’t really meaningful to me (not now anyway). See also birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
The above meaningful ending/beginning thing gives a big false social weight to the evening.
Due to the above, people scramble around to try to find the activity that will be THE MOST FUN POSSIBLE. For some people this entails...
